Data centers, county by county

Where Wisconsin counties host, pause, or haven't acted on data center development. Compiled Oct 2026.

Caveats

Statuses were checked in October 2026 against local news, county records and the More Than Just Parks data center tracker, and every county was searched individually, but coverage of small counties is thin. Faded labels mean nothing was found, not that a county is open to development.
Most county moratoria bind only towns under county zoning, not cities, villages, or towns with their own codes, so parcel-level status can differ from county status.
Counties flagged as unverified in their tooltip rest on aggregator listings or a single secondary source, and several pending ones have no confirmed board vote.
Positions are schematic, not geographic. Verify against county board minutes before relying on any entry.
